Joe Ingles was huge down the stretch The Jazz’s offense was completely stymied in the third quarter and much of the fourth as the Clippers went to a zone defense and upped the intensity. To start the decisive run, he connected with Rudy Gobert in the pick and roll for an eventual 3-point play, then assisted on a Royce O’Neale 3-pointer the Jazz’s next possession. He then made a 3-pointer of his own to cap the run as Utah took control. Ingles has struggled mightily throughout the playoffs, but broke out in a huge way, scoring 19 points on 7 of 10 shooting, including 4 of 7 from behind the 3-point line. He also tallied four assists, four rebounds and a steal. The Clippers didn’t make shots at the end Yes, the Jazz finally started executing in the closing minutes, but it helped that LA missed some good looks on the other end of the floor.

It won’t be like the the Jazz vs Clippers game a few years ago when Jazz were playing for the playoff lives and lost to the D-League Clippers. Tonight the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers face off in a Western Conference ShowdownThe 4th place Utah Jazz (45-33) take on the 10th place LA Clippers (42-36). Both teams have just four games left in the regular season. Jazz are fighting for home court in the playoffs (and a playoff spot) and the Clippers are fighting for their playoff lives. Given where these two teams were in the beginning of July its pretty remarkable where they are. The 2017 First Round series seems ages ago.
